Swear-In

Can you find me among all the other idealistic faces of America?

After 8 weeks of training Peace Corps deemed me and 74 fellow trainees fit to swear in as US-China Friendship Volunteers on August 28, 2009. We didn’t lose a single trainee from staging in San Francisco to Swear-In! We were sworn in by the brand new Ambassador to China, Jon Huntsman and after some inspirational speeches, a slideshow and a Chinese buffet we left for our sites. This semester I’ll be teaching Oral English, American Cinema and English for Social Work majors. Classes start next week!

The line was too long to talk to him so I settled for posing for a picture of Mr. Ambassador talking to another volunteer.
